Up In Smoke is a simple sour with layers of flavor. The Aperol® ties into the lighter, aperitivo-style cocktail that compliments Basil Hayden®, while the Angostura® bitters bring in unique baking spice notes of clove and cinnamon.

1 1/2 parts Basil Hayden® Subtle Smoke or Basil Hayden® Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
1/2 part Aperol® Aperitif
1/2 part simple syrup
3/4 part fresh squeezed lemon juice
2 dashes Angostura® Bitters
1 lemon wheel (for garnish)
1. Combine all ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice.
2. Hard shake and strain into a coupe glass.
3. Garnish with a lemon wheel.
